A simple and delicious assortment of rice accompaniments

Moist Seafood Furikake
This furikake is made by mixing a variety of seafood ingredients, such as shrimp, dried young sardines, and bonito, and is finished with special seasonings to create a moist, sweet and salty taste.
It goes well with white rice, and is also recommended for making rice balls.
It is also recommended as a snack to accompany your evening drinks.

Chicken and Enoki mushroom sukiyaki
Domestically produced minced chicken is added to enoki mushrooms and green onions and simmered carefully over time to allow the flavor of the dashi stock to seep in thoroughly.
If you add an egg to your liking, you can enjoy it just like eating sukiyaki.

Grilled and marinated shredded salmon
We will be releasing "yakizuke," a traditional Niigata dish, in a more user-friendly shredded form.
Extra bones have also been removed, making it safe for children and the elderly to eat.

Salmon Chazuke
Salmon from the Okhotsk region of Hokkaido is salted and fried.
It can be used as a slightly luxurious rice dish with tea, as a topping for rice balls, or as a filling for rice balls.

Chunky Echigo beef miso
This meat miso is made with Echigo miso, known for its strong flavor, and is topped with plenty of domestically produced minced pork loin, creating a satisfying meat miso. You'll become addicted to this sweet and spicy miso.
You can just put it on rice as is, or you can use it in a variety of easy recipes depending on how you arrange it.

Roughly shredded red salmon
This is a simple dish made from high-quality sockeye salmon that has been carefully grilled and roughly shredded.
Sockeye salmon is said to have a particularly strong umami flavor among all salmon, and this dish is finished in a way that allows you to fully experience that flavor.
It goes without saying that it pairs well with rice, making it an essential accompaniment to any meal or bento.
About Ogawaya

Ogawaya was founded in Furumachi, Niigata in 1893. It all started with a simple comment.
At the time, Niigata had the largest population in the country, and with a climate suitable for rice cultivation and the geographical advantage of being a base for Kitamae ships, it was a place where an abundance of food ingredients such as salmon, fish eggs, miso, and sake lees were gathered.
One day, the founder, Komakichi Ogawa, was having dinner with a close friend.
He heard the words, "I want to feed my grandchildren something this delicious," and this one sentence was the catalyst that led to the founding of Ogawaya.
Overcoming repeated challenges...

Since then, for over 120 years, they have continued to produce traditional Niigata specialties, focusing on salmon and trout.
However, although the product has been highly praised, with the product being presented to the Imperial family and recommended as a souvenir, the road to success has not been smooth.
Ogawaya has overcome many challenges, including two major fires, wars, and earthquakes.
He expressed his gratitude to his customers for their support, saying that he has been able to continue his business to this day.

People's tastes change with the times.
No matter how long a history something has, if it is deemed out of step with the times, it has no future.
"Good in the past" is different from "good now."
