I won the Grand Prix.
Sake and salt are a perfect match.
When thinking of food that pairs well with sake, many people might think of Japanese dishes such as sashimi.
However, when you drink sake with salt as a snack, the pairing is excellent, and the sake's unique characteristics are brought out to the fullest.
The seemingly unexpected combination of sake and salt is said to have actually existed since the Sengoku period (Warring States period), and is still loved by sake connoisseurs today as a sophisticated way to enjoy sake.
Sake is composed of four of the five basic tastes (sweet, sour, bitter, umami, and salty), excluding saltiness. Adding a pinch of salt balances these five tastes, making it taste even better.
That person surely already knows what delicious sake is. That's precisely why I'm deliberately giving them salt, which will deepen its flavor.
What might capture the hearts of sake lovers isn't the sake itself, but "salt."
Giving sake as a gift to someone who loves it is a good idea, but how about a more stylish and unique present?

Sea salt
This salt is characterized by its strong umami flavor and mellow richness.
It enhances the sweetness and umami of sake, creating a profound flavor through the harmony of the five tastes.
It pairs perfectly with other snacks, further enhancing the deliciousness.
It pairs perfectly with sake, of course, but it's also a versatile ingredient that can be used in a wide range of everyday dishes.

Akamoku salt
This seaweed salt has a strong aroma of the sea and the savory flavor of seaweed.
The abundant minerals in seaweed salt blend with the umami of sake, creating a deeper flavor.
This is the ultimate pairing, where each ingredient's delicate flavor enhances the others, allowing you to enjoy a richer and more complex harmony of tastes.
